This refreshing strawberry mocktail with crushed ice blends sweet fresh strawberries, tangy lime juice and sparkling water into a bright, fizzy summer drink. It is quick to prepare, naturally alcohol-free and perfect for parties, barbecues, brunches or relaxing on a warm afternoon.
1-2tablespoonshoney or simple syrup, adjusted to taste
2tablespoons lime juicefreshly squeezed, about 1 lime
½cupcrushed icefor blending
Additional crushed icefor serving
½cupcold sparkling water or club soda
Fresh mint leavesoptional garnish
Fresh strawberry slices or lime wedgesoptional garnish
Instructions
Blend the Strawberry Base
Add the fresh strawberries, honey or simple syrup, lime juice and ½ cup crushed ice to a blender. Blend until the strawberry mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
Strain the Mixture
For a smoother strawberry mocktail, pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds and excess pulp. This step is optional.
Fill the Glasses
Fill two glasses about halfway with additional crushed ice. Divide the blended strawberry mixture evenly between the glasses.
Add the Sparkling Water
Top each glass with cold sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently so the bubbles are not lost.
Garnish and Serve
Garnish each strawberry lime mocktail with fresh mint, a sliced strawberry or a lime wedge. Serve immediately with a straw.
Tip: Use very ripe strawberries and ice-cold sparkling water for the best strawberry mocktail with crushed ice. Add the sparkling water just before serving so the drink stays fresh, fizzy and full of bright strawberry-lime flavour.
Notes
Use ripe, naturally sweet strawberries for the strongest fresh strawberry flavour.
Begin with 1 tablespoon of honey or simple syrup, then taste the mixture before adding more.
Keep the sparkling water cold so the finished strawberry mocktail stays refreshing and fizzy.
Add the sparkling water just before serving to preserve the bubbles.
Frozen strawberries may be used, but the drink will have a thicker, slushier texture.
For extra lime flavour, add a little finely grated lime zest before blending.
