BBQ Chicken Marinade (My Favorite — Sweet & Smoky)

  • Start with boneless chicken breasts and place them in a large bowl
  • Add ½ cup BBQ sauce for that bold smoky flavor
  • Drizzle in 1 tablespoon olive oil to keep the chicken juicy
  • Add 1 teaspoon garlic powder for extra depth
  • Sprinkle ½ teaspoon smoked paprika for a subtle smoky kick
  • Add salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: Add 1 teaspoon honey for a sweet caramelized finish

Mix & Marinate

  • Toss everything together until the chicken is fully coated
  • Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes
  • For best flavor, marinate 2–4 hours in the fridge
  • Remove from fridge 10 minutes before grilling

BBQ Time

  • Place marinated chicken directly onto the BBQ
  • Grill until juicy and lightly charred
  • Let rest, then shred for loaded nachos

This marinade creates juicy, smoky, flavor-packed chicken that takes your nachos over the top!

Tips for the Best Loaded Nachos

  • Use thick tortilla chips — they hold toppings without getting soggy
  • Layer chips and toppings — don’t just pile everything on top
  • Shred your own cheese — it melts smoother and tastes better
  • Use a mix of cheeses — marble, cheddar, or mozzarella for extra gooeyness
  • Warm your toppings — cold toppings cool down the nachos too fast
  • Don’t overload with wet ingredients — add things like salsa or guacamole after baking
  • Bake instead of microwave — you’ll get evenly melted cheese and crispy chips
  • Add fresh toppings last — green onions, tomatoes, cilantro for freshness
  • Spread everything evenly — every bite should be loaded
  • Serve immediately — nachos are best hot and fresh

Bonus Tip:

  • Add BBQ shredded chicken — it takes nachos completely over the top!
